Your rules don't apply.
The reason Sean closed this thread is because he was scared that people would find out that there was another field doing a better job with less.
Instead of doing that why don't you just prove that you have a better field?
My guess would be because that would need for you to be commited which your not, a perfect example of this would be today were you set up a day of games then just left after 5 minutes.
Ok people, let's look at this. If you read the roll call, there was never an official game announced, there was a poll for attendance if the weather was good. by Friday night there was only 4 or 5 people that said they were going to be there. By any standard that is not enough people to justify spending the money to open the doors for business, especially being obvious that the season has ended. There was no formal game announced. I was there with Sean until 1:15 pm and I can tell you that the only people that were there before 1 pm was a private party of 5 that included Roach for a student film project. At about 1 pm Frodo, Dustin and Mike showed up with their own air obviously not expecting the trialer to be open with supplies. No money was exchanged and it was not expected since it was not a game day. Sean was at the site to assist Roach with the VP liability obligations and to do some pre-winter organizing. I was at the site meeting with Sean to discuss business and field needs for VP regarding the 2010 season. I would venture to say that whoever did show up was not expecting the trailer to be open.
Regarding the previous post, I find it very interesting that he has the ambition to openly disrespect and insult the owner of Valley Paintball in such a public fashion. Considering his age, it's easy to say that it could be expected. When I was 16 I loved fast women, fast cars, and especially a good fight. Now that I am a business owner I put those fighting skills to work for personal success, financial growth, and building my net worth and assets. I still love to fight, but it is done with experience, maturity, and wisdom to increase the chance of success. Business has taught me one very important piece of knowledge,
you are either part of the problem or you are part of the solution. I am new to VP as of this last June, and am still absorbing everything to get into this game. I will openly admit that I see things that I am unhappy with as a customer. I have met with Sean to discuss some of these things and have become very optimistic about the future of Valley Paintball. I have been to Goose River and have chosen VP for the environment it provides and the people that run it. No small task for a father trying to bring his 6 and 9 year old boys that don't want to get hit with paint. (Especially when FU is present) As far as problems and solutions go, I am one that likes to be surrounded with solutions, and I enjoy the challenge of eliminating the problems.
Problems are like crows sqawking from a power line, nobody likes them, they are a nuisance and often times get shot by the farmer on his rounds inspecting his fields.Sean has his work cut out for him, but I am confident that he will continually improve and get it done to the best of his ability. I would like to challenge everyone on this site to look at whether they are part of the problem, or part of the solution. I have tons of optimism in Sean's abilities and that VP will turn around, it will be alot more fun if we didn't have to shoot any crows. I carry no guilt in shooting a crow. I am contributing to the positive future of VP, what are you doing?
